The thought of an adventure, new, unknown territory, can mean a multitude of different things for different people.
Possibly a little daunting, scary, too far out of your comfort zone?
Possibly exciting, invigorating, energising? What does it mean to you?
For us as humans - our brains are wired for novel and new.
Our brains love to be stretched and experience something exciting.
Often the energy required to do this, is what is missing. We live such hectic and demanding lives that all we feel like doing, is flopping down onto the coach and watching TV!
So, the question: - "How much adventure is included in your life - that it adds energy and inspiration?'.... is a question that does require us to think about this and consider if we are in fact happy with our answer!
Adventure, exploring, something new - does bring renewed energy, excitement and it "sparks" your brain with Dopamine - which is our "happy hormone".
An adventure does not need to be an expensive holiday or fancy new acquisition - it can simply be:- Engaging with new people, who bring energy and stimulation to your mind.
It could be going to a new place, spending time doing something quite different to what you may normally do, like riding a bicycle, climbing a big hill to see the view, playing a game you've not played before.
Something that impacts others positively, like organising a family outing to a place you love but don't get to often enough.
Even learning a new skill or hobby can be so invigorating.
What may be holding you back from taking the first step towards something new and exciting?
Be brave and courageous! You can be!
